A very different angle on how Chloé was misused.
A moderately reformed/good but still recognizable as herself Chloé would have been the perfect avenue for asking every insensitive but natural questions children have about people different than themselves.
She would be excellent for that ignorance and belligerent curiosity angle. Everyone else has an image to maintain withing the show's narrative that puts them out of the running.
Children(the show's audience) would get all sorts of information and maybe a different sort of understanding about people they don't often encounter.
This realization brought to you by: Me thinking about how Chloé and Sublime would interact.

Chloe had knocked over Marinette's tray at lunch earlier that day. It wasn't anything new, just like the way Chloe had started making oinking noises to Sabrina when Marinette had bent down to clean it up. Or like the way Chloe had said that Marinette didn't really need the extra calories, so she was actually helping her after all.
Lucky Lucky Ladybug kept replaying the scene in her mind, over and over, thinking about just how stupid Chloe would've felt if Tikki had let Marinette transform and give Chloe a talking-to as Ladybug. She had woven the string of her yo-yo between her fingers into a cat's cradle, and every time her hands would stretch apart, the yo-yo would spin on its track. Then she'd bring her hands back together to catch the yo-yo mid spin, the metal body clacking against the bones in her hands. Spin, then clack. Spin, clack. Spin, clack.
Chat Noir had been talking for the past few minutes, but Ladybug never bothered to listen to him anymore. He had probably just made one of his awful puns again, based on the way he started stammering.
"Oh, uh, s-so the joke is that it's a play on the word—" "Have you ever thought that maybe, if you have to explain all of your jokes, you're not funny?" Chat Noir got quiet, his shoulders falling. Ladybug kept her eyes on her yo-yo. "I'm sorry, milady," Chat Noir apologized. "I just assumed you didn't understand the punchline." "Maybe you should come up with jokes other people understand then. That way people might actually laugh at them." Spin, clack. Spin, clack. Ladybug kept imagining Chloe's face, with her pale blue eyeshadow and her cakey makeup.
Chat Noir started to twist his fingers together, the claws on his thumbs digging into his gloved hands. It wasn't anything new—people having little patience with him, that is. His father had gotten him used to it by now. Chat Noir knew that the right thing to do in such situations was just to acquiesce, and that when you acquiesced people liked you more for it. "I noticed you and Rena were on television the other day. How did that go?" Ladybug hunched over herself, scoffing as she wound the string of her yo-yo tighter around her fingers. She had started bring Renared to press conferences and fan meetups because she could trust that Alya wouldn't act like an idiot or say stupid things. Alya was a good friend like that, willing to pick up Chat Noir's slack. Plus, doing things with Rena instead meant that Marinette and Alya could hang out for the rest of the day, and Marinette would actually enjoy herself. Doing anything of that with Chat Noir... would mean she'd be hanging out with Chat Noir. Bad pickup lines and worse jokes included.
"It was fine," Ladybug huffed, rolling her eyes. "Why do you even care?" "Oh- well, uhm. You just used to take me, and I was wondering if you had a reason that you... well... stopped."
One time during an interview, Chat Noir had derailed the entire conversation talking about the intricacies of whether or not their group of holders counted more as a religious or a political organization, entirely unaware that nobody could even begin to care about such a thing. Spin, clack. Spin, clack.
Ladybug thought about the way Chloe's face had scrunched up when she oinked at Marinette. Ladybug thought of Chat Noir's stupid awkward stammer. Ladybug thought about having to admit to her mother that her grades were getting worse.
Ladybug trapped the yo-yo in her hands for the last time, almost trying to crush it.
"It's because she's better at it than you, and I like you better when I don't have to hear you talk. Does that make you happy?!"
Chat Noir almost answered—No, actually, knowing that people didn't like hearing him talk didn't make him happy at all. But he'd learned by now that when Ladybug asked him questions like that, she wasn't actually asking and a response would only make her angrier.
"I'm sorry. I'll talk less, milady."
"I told you to stop calling me that."
"...I'm sorry."
Maybe Chloe could pick on Chat Noir for a change. He deserved it more than she did.

MLB Femslash February 2025: Chlolila
Tumblr media
Prompts: Abandon;Kiwi
Oho boy, I was so pumped for this one- also this was made before we saw Chloé's season 6 design, and it also contains my design for Chrysalis!
When your supervillain gf is so blinded by her dreams of a different life she fails to see what's right in front of her...<3
This is set in a hypothetical 'Chloé and Lila/Cerise team up in season 6' universe (which I hope they do but yk). It starts off as okay as things could be between them at first, but over time, as Chrysalis gets more and more desperate to make her wish, she begins to lose sight of what's around her, including Chloé.
Chloé, who by now is just so damn tired of never being enough for anyone, decides to confront Chrysalis. She practically claws at her face, screaming, demanding an explanation for why she wasn't good enough again. However, she's only met with more disappointment when Chrysalis only confirms what she already knew, what she's known this whole time...

i wanna write a fic in about five different genres. it follows the miraculous five or whatever they’re called, but they’re all telling very different stories in the canon.
for marinette, it’s a cringe rom-com. u know the ones with the laugh tracks and the “oh shucks!”
for alya, it’s a detective noir. she’s on the hunt for her one nemesis, the only person to ever slip past her careful grasp: hawkmoth
for nino, it’s a coming of age movie. he’s discovering what he wants his future to look like, and perhaps that’ll come with a bunch of new self-discoveries
for chloe, it’s a soap opera bordering. her life is so dramatic and off-the-charts, it’ll make u turn to your neighbour wondering if they’re seeing what you’re seeing.
and finally, for adrien, it’s a spine-chilling horror. u know the ones where the “evil monster” isn’t a tangible thing but you’re still terrified all the same?
what’s really going on? who knows. maybe they’re all telling the truth, maybe all of them are lying. good luck figuring out the plot cause i sure won’t have it together.

..you best believe when I do the rewrite (at some point in time. I just need to not be lazy lmao.)
I'm giving Chloe the miraculous back, I DONT CARE. She looked better with it and it's weird that Zoe keeps getting hand me downs. Like girl have you had an original thought?..anyways-- I'm gonna have her apologize properly to Sabrina and her and Zoe can actually have some sibling bond cuz it's fucked up that the dad that raised her to be spoiled suddenly decided he didn't want a daughter anymore so he..replaced her. (Ignoring the fact that he LITERALLY RAISED HER LIKE THAT. And everyone's saying oh poor him like he's not a grown ass man. Go to hell. Andre doesn't deserve sympathy nor can he pawn off his daughter to a verbally abusive woman and then take someone's child that isn't his???)
Like..he witnessed how Audrey treated his child and did nothing until Zoe popped in?? Really?.. Chloe and Zoe are gonna run that man's pockets into the dirt, and I kinda wanna have Audrey and Chloe come to some agreement cuz Chloe needs to scream at her mom for making her like that, just---
..Chloes getting the bee back for plot reasons cuz lowkey she'd be the only one to be 100% with Adrien since everyone wants to lie to him.

CSC: What if at a sleep over someone asked who Chloe celebrity crush is, she wasn't paying attention so says the first name that comes to mind, Rena Roge, so suddenly the fox wielder is persona non grata.
Chloe: I mean- not my type but won't deny that Rena is indeed very hot
Alya: Pfft *Spit out her juice* (MY BFF HAS A CRUSH ON ME??)

Alya: (Calm down Alya Cesarire, you already have Nino)

Trying to understand canon Chloe Bourgeois and her potential future
There are lots of things I adore about Miraculous Ladybug; however, one element that has always confused me is the handling of Chloe Bourgeois post-season 3 (that's right not season 2). One of the most polarizing characters of this show,, you either love her or you hate her. My feelings on the matter are... somewhat complicated. Contrary to most of the fandom's feelings about her, I was actually initially against her redemption when Malediktator came out 6 years ago and was concerned because it felt like such an easy way out for her. She was incredibly cruel and vindictive most of season 1 and was forgiven by Ladybug (which may have enabled her more by Marinette) so easily, but I pushed the thought back into my mind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then season 3 came around, and I actually really liked her arc in that one. It felt like it made sense that she would grow more and more spiteful as Ladybug utilized her less and less and it made her more interesting; since she didn't instantly become nice. It felt like the season 3 final was setting up for Chloe to lose everything and somehow would be forced to form meaningful connections or she'd atleast become more of a prominent threat.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then season 4 rolled around and introduced Zoe and the show started backpeddling on her character sure it might be that she got worse but the show did not communicate this well at all I love when shows do the unexpected in season 3 it very much seemed like a damnation arc was set up for her however as the show went on she became more of a nuisance a caricature of herself now i personally don't believe that Astruc (no she's not based of his bully cause why would he even give her redemption in the first place) hates Chloe but i do believe a redemption for her was planned but then he changed his mind about the idea and started to try and shift her character which was not successful in the eyes of many people. So I accepted the fact that her complexity was thrown out the window and that she would always stay the same, but in her last moments as she left Paris, the episode showcased this specific scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the show truly believed that she was beyond help, WHY DID IT GIVE US THIS SCENE? Then I realized what the show was trying to convey (successfully or not is EXTREMELY debatable). Chloe Bourgeois is a deeply selfish and jaded person, BUT deep down in her heart, the one true thing she always wanted was love and adoration; however, her bitterness and hatred are so strong that they completely cloud her judgment, and she chooses to lash out instead of being vulnerable. So as she goes to get some satisfaction from her favorite victim, she notices the contact of the one person that endured her cruelty for so long, the one person that cared for her and genuinely loved her, and for a moment she hesitates, but her hatred for Marinette completely overpowers the thought, and as she goes to witness her rival's misfortune, Marinette confronts her with the truth: "Nothing! You've lost any and ALL the power over us. You're the one who's ridiculous, Chloé. Utterly ridiculous. Enjoy your trip." And as she sat there on the cold floor of her jet, she realized that she truly has lost everything.
Tumblr media
I truly believe that this is Chloe Bourgeois's lowest point. My hope for her in the future is that she does not stay the same old person she usually is, and with her reappearance in the most recent episode, I think she is masking her true feelings.

it's actually fucking wild to me that chloe's enabling father is being more humanized than she is. he spent her entire life giving her literally anything she ever wanted, enabling her every harmful behavior, and then he is portrayed as hurt more by her. like yes he was hurt and taken advantage of by his wife, yes chloe is a spoiled brat, but she's also fourteen and he's never actually fucking parented her. their butler does more fathering than he does.

Please now that they're giving Sabrina and Zoe those new character arcs I don't want Chloe Bourgeois to come back in this show ever again. And I say that as a Chloe and Queen Bee hardcore fan.
Honestly the writers have traumatized me and my relationship with their show over the past years, trying to convince us that "Chloe's character arc was never actually there" or stuff I don't care anymore.
They've put so much energy to reverse her into not just a villain character, but a hateable character.
Everything with Chloe Bourgeois has been a fxcking waste of our time after it has been decided they had to trash her. Now when she's nowhere on the picture writers are remembering they have support characters they are starting to finally giving them characterization and arcs.
Finally Zoe is getting to be more than a very intrusive character whose plot device is to oust away another character by taking over her place. Yes I want her to actually have that past NYC life of her revealed to us, and why she's eager to keep it secret.
If the show need villains or antagonists they can just create new characters at the school or other, but I don't want anymore of bringing up Chloe Bourgeois to then waste everyone's time for 8 episodes to an entire season.
Chloe isn't even needed anymore as an excuse to cause conflict and akumatization. Marinette has shown by herself she's enough to hurt the people around her over and over, and by the end of season 2 she had already beaten Chloe in the record of causing akumatization.

How to save the Bee sisters.
Chloé comes back, is still Chloé, minus André being a corrupt six foot tall stack of shit.
Ray pulls his nonsense on Zoé, she tries to keep it quiet but he starts tormenting her out in the courtyard openly.
Off the second floor railing big sister dives like a feral honeybadger.
Zoé might be a punk loser lame-o, but only family can mess with family.
Ray drags himself to the nurses office while Chloé stalks off, complaining about breaking a nail.
